As winter has been hanging around we all start to long for springtime and warmer temperatures.  In life we have seasons of winter where we rush from one thing to the next not focusing on what is important or our priorities become out of balance.  In winter seasons we also feel that God has moved away and left us empty and void of contact from Him.  As a church community we have experienced seasons of winter where those who brought joy and excitement have either passed away or moved on.  We find ourselves longing for the past or the good old days but what we are longing for is a sense of normalcy that we once knew. We long for a new beginning or a spring time renewal.

Think about the words from Roy Lessin entitled:

Your life is blessed when:

Peace is in your spirit,

Perception is in your decisions,

Patience is in your trials,

Purpose is in your work,

Purity is in your character

Praise is in your witness,

Passion is in your calling,

Prayer is in your heart.

If we give our hearts fully surrendered to God’s will then we have an opportunity to have a true spring time renewal in HIM.  All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realms because we are united with Christ. Ephesians 1:3 NLT

¨ First, it starts with our praise of God.

¨ Second, it starts with our praying to God in all circumstances.

¨ Third, it is in opening ourselves to the new possibilities of this new reality.  The past is behind us but the future is before us.  Let Go and Let God.

Fourth, our understanding of today will continue to change as we reach out for tomorrow.

May we follow Christ in all season knowing that he is with us and for us each day.  Let me leave you with a quote by Tom Dooley: I am only one, but I am one.  I cannot do everything, but I can do something.  What I can do, I ought to do, and what I ought to do by the grace of God, I will do.
